Who is behind this effort, how it is paid for, and where the county’s own filing names the people responsible for it.
We are neighbors and registered voters of Seward County — not a party organization, not political professionals, not a funded campaign. We came to this the way most people did: by learning of the actions of one commissioner, and being saddened that this happened here, to a man who gave this county thirty-seven years.
Nobody is being paid and no money is being raised. The signs, the printing and this website come out of our own pockets.
Kansas law does not allow a recall effort to be anonymous. The three registered Seward County electors required to file the petition are named on the official application with the Seward County Clerk (K.S.A. 25-4320), and anyone can ask for it.
